You speak about accepting the Jewish connections to the land and the need to acknowledge them. Partially true. However, you can’t expect accepting the imaginary connection over the historical period, which are filled with claims and inaccuracies. We can’t accept Netanyahu declaring he is a descendant of the ancient Israelites, or extremists saying a god gave them the land or gives them the right to take over other people’s sacred sites and buildings. And then there are connections of Palestinians over millennia (rather than the usual myth that “Arabs” came with the Muslim conquest), and some of the people may have been pagans or Jewish or Christian who converted to Islam. And so on. You can’t expect Palestinians to swallow the Zionist claims wholesale.
